Blogger's Belt

It was strange for me to know about the philosophy about a wheel. Wheel, a mere wheel, holds continuous philosophical background and a source of inspiration. And yes, the philosophy is ethical and logical as well. The two inventions of human kind, Vote in Politics and Wheel in Physics, have dramatically changed mankind living style and behaviors. Out of these two, here I talk about the wheel, its dynamism, marvelous history, and above all Pangrello Movement in Nepal. Of course the wheel associates vote in parallel manner.

Nepalese youth can be categorized in two groups these days, those who left already and those who are left behind. It’s the prejudice against the first group and the desperation of the latter one that bothers me the most. Every other day, the world is shrinking more and more into a global village and along with it the barriers of division such as nationality, culture, and religion are crumbling. Younger generation is getting more aware of the global achievements and trends.

They had been together through high school and most of college too. The senior year brought Grad School applications, job applications, career contemplation, new directions...a new leaf turned over in the book of life. The graduation party was the last time they had actually been together. They did call and facebook each other but with the passing of weeks, the calls and mails got sparser until they were completely off each other's radars. Bffl...best friends for life; they had had t-shirts made with these words printed on them. It felt like a whole different era...

The Edge of Heaven (Auf der anderen Seite) is story about the intertwining lives of six characters. The Turkish-German film, directed by Fatih Akin, explores fateful tragedies that ultimately lead to changes in the characters. In the first part of the movie Ali, an elderly Turkish immigrant in Germany, meets Yeter, a prostitute who is also a Turkish immigrant. Ali believes he has found a solution to his loneliness after Yeter agrees to move into his house. Sometime later, both have an argument in which Ali stikes Yeter and accidentally kills her.
